These data are the control group students in the Department of Education, Investing in Innovation Fund (i3) Development Grants U411C150011. This includes only those with parental consent, student assent, who did not later withdraw from the school officially or were absent so much as to be potentially withdrawn from the school, were deemed eligible because they were not banned from computer usage, and were able to read English. <br><br>The students come from Colorado and are in grades 6 to 11, and each could have responded three times (Fall 2017 T1, Spring 2018 T2, and Fall 2018 T3 in the fall and spring of their initial school year and again the following fall of their next school).<br><br>We provide data on the students' difficulty-as-importance and difficulty-as-impossibility scores (and items) at each time point, their T1 gender and race, their T1 and T2 age, and the date of data collection at each time point -- and constructed variables related to the time lag between each collection point.
