SeedMatExplorer: The transcriptome atlas of Arabidopsis seed maturation

During their maturation, seeds acquire traits that are crucial for their survival and that are of extreme importance for seed quality. In this study, we investigate the acquisition of multiple seed quality traits, especially desiccation tolerance and longevity, by analyzing longitudinal RNA-seq data collected for various stages of seed maturation. The data was acquired for several mutants, predominantly affected in abscisic acid biosynthesis and signalling, which vary in their ability to acquire seed quality traits. Overall design: Seeds were harvested during their maturation stage, from 12 DAP to 26 DAP, in 2 days intervals. This was done for several abscisic acid biosynthesis and signalling related mutants, that show reduced acquisiton of seed quality traits.
