Sarzana Stream sediments images, resulting dataset and codes
收藏资源简介:
This repository contains three main components: Images of sediments collected in the Sarzana Stream catchment that were used to extract size and shape information through image processing ( ). Size and shape parameters resulting from the analysis of such images. For each image, the coordinates of the sampling location and the lithology of the imaged particles are also provided. Finally, sampling locations are also characterized by sample type: source (outcrop), creek (tributary), or river (Sarzana Stream). The codes used to perform the analysis and produce the images presented in the paper submitted to JGR: Earth Surface. This compressed file also contains the rasters representing the travel distances from each source location for a given lithology, to a downstream sampling location (in .tif format), and a series of Excel spreadsheets containing, for each lithology, the set of sampling locations that constitute a path (e.g., METABASALTS_PATHS.xlsx). The codes that can run as standalone are provided in separate folders, while some images need to run an optimization algorithm to produce them. The set up of such codes is described in README files. In order to reproduce the images presented in the paper, the user also needs two toolboxes: Yair Altman (2025). export_fig (https://github.com/altmany/export_fig/releases/tag/v3.54), and the toolbox by Crameri, F. (2018). Scientific colour maps (https://zenodo.org/records/8409685), which are provided within the .zip file.
