潮沟是陆海生态系统交互作用的主要通道。潮沟形态特征的时空分布具有明显的时空异质性,它对构筑沿海工程设施和保护滩涂资源等具有重要的理论意义和工程价值。作者以黄河三角洲为研究区,基于1998-2018年20景Landsat TM/OLI卫星数据(云量<10%),使用异质背景下潮沟网络的精准提取算法提取潮沟,并利用潮沟快速自动分级算法对潮沟进行分级处理后,利用GIS空间分析功能,提取5年研究区潮沟形态特征参数,生成黄河三角洲潮沟形态特征时空分布数据集(1998-2018)。该数据集包括1998、2004、2008、2013和2018年黄河三角洲的以下数据:(1)潮滩最大分布范围数据;(2)潮沟分布数据;(3)潮沟密度核密度分布数据;(4)潮沟分汊率核密度分布数据;(5)非通道路径长度分布数据。其中,栅格数据的空间分辨率为30 m。数据集存储为.shp和.tif格式,投影坐标系为WGS_1984_UTM_Zone_50N,共包含120个数据文件,数据量为81.4 MB(压缩为1个文件,14.8 MB)。该数据集的分析研究成果发表在《地理学报》2021年76卷9期。

Tidal creeks are the main conduits for interactions between terrestrial and marine ecosystems. The spatiotemporal distribution of tidal creek morphological characteristics exhibits significant spatiotemporal heterogeneity, which holds important theoretical significance and engineering value for the construction of coastal engineering facilities, the protection of tidal flat resources, and other related fields. This study selected the Yellow River Delta as the research area. Based on 20 scenes of Landsat TM/OLI satellite imagery acquired from 1998 to 2018 with cloud cover less than 10%, a precise extraction algorithm for tidal creek networks under heterogeneous backgrounds was employed to extract tidal creeks. After classifying the tidal creeks using a rapid automatic classification algorithm, GIS spatial analysis tools were utilized to extract morphological characteristic parameters of tidal creeks in the study area across five time points (1998, 2004, 2008, 2013, and 2018), thereby generating the Spatiotemporal Distribution Dataset of Tidal Creek Morphological Characteristics in the Yellow River Delta (1998–2018). This dataset includes the following data for the Yellow River Delta in the five aforementioned years: (1) data on the maximum distribution extent of tidal flats; (2) tidal creek distribution data; (3) kernel density distribution data of tidal creek density; (4) kernel density distribution data of tidal creek branching rate; (5) distribution data of non-channel path lengths. The spatial resolution of the raster data is 30 meters. The dataset is stored in .shp and .tif formats, with the projected coordinate system set as WGS_1984_UTM_Zone_50N. It contains a total of 120 data files, with a total data size of 81.4 MB (compressed into a single file of 14.8 MB). The research findings based on the analysis of this dataset were published in *Acta Geographica Sinica*, Volume 76, Issue 9, 2021.
