We found that SyCD1 could not cause plant cell death. Injection of 1 μmol of recombinant protein into tobacco leaves showed that SyCD1 could cause up regulation of defense genes and marker genes of PTI. Meanwhile, SyCD1 can enhanced the resistance of tobacco to Sclerotinia sclerotiorum and Phytophthora capsici. RLK5 was verified by immunoprecipitation and pulldown as the interaction targets of SyCD1. It was proved that SyCD1 was related to BAK1 and SOBIR1 by virus gene-silencing.
