The remediation of uranium through phosphate solubilizing bacteria is an emerging technique as well as an interesting phenomenon for transforming mobile U into stable minerals in the environment. Samples used in this research were collected from an open-pit uranium tailing repository site, located in Fuzhou, Jiangxi Province, the southeast of China. The soil samples were collected aseptically from 5 to 15 cm of the upper surface in July, 2019. In order to isolate the PSB, a serial dilution assay was carried out and diluted suspension was spready plated on Pikovskaya agar medium. two bacterial,named as ZJ_1 and ZJ_3,that showed obvious colonies with clear halos were selected to purify on NBPIR agar medium as potential phosphate-solubilizing bacteria.To further identify the species of the strain ZJ_1 and ZJ_3, the nucleotide sequencing of PCR amplified 16S rRNA genes of these strains was submitted to NCBI.The two PSB isolates selected above wereaffiliated to the genera of Bacillus sp.
