Nordic Work Environment Surveys, 1989-1990

The survey is a collection of surveys on work environment carried out in the four Nordic countries: Finland, Sweden, Norway and Denmark: # #Finland: Tyøelæmæn laatu 1990 (The Quality of Working Life 1990). # #Sweden: Arbetsmiljøn 1989 (Work Environment 1989). # #Norway: Arbeidslivsundersøkelsen 1989 (Working Life Survey 1989). # #Denmark: Lønmodtageres arbejdsmiljø og helbred, 1990-1991 (Work Environment and Health of Gainfully Employed Persons, 1990-1991). The Danish survey is registered as DDA-1563. 2From these extensive surveys, some of the central and recurrent questions (84 variables in all) have been extracted and normalized. These questions concern: wages and working hours; the use of new technology; physical and chemical effects on work environment; industrial injuries; physical strain of the body; psycho-social work environment; general health; and trouble in the musculoskeletal system
