Thermal power electricity output Japan FY 2012-2021

In fiscal year 2021, the thermal power electricity output in Japan amounted to approximately 776.33 billion kilowatt hours, the lowest number of the past decade. Within the observed period, figures peaked in 2013 at more than 987 billion kilowatt hours, but have been on a steady downward trend since then.Of the total electricity output in Japan, thermal power accounted for around 80 percent during the measured period.
