How is integration going from the temporary immigrants' perspective in Norway? A case study in Tromso.

This research explores what integration indicators look like when integration is understood beyond the traditional conception of mere immigrant participation in the labour and economic spheres. Building on the conceptual framework developed by international institutions such as IOM and adopted by other entities through quantitative research, this research examines how temporary immigrants residing in Tromso experience integration from their own perspective, highlighting the subjective aspects that may constitute the migratory experience. This quantitative research conducted a cross-sectional survey directed to temporary immigrants living in Tromso in 2025. The data were analysed to understand how temporary immigrants behave across the dimensions studied, and to explore correlations between the dimensions. These results, compared with those developed and published at the national level, allowed us to identify the most pressing needs for this subgroup.
