This dataset is the spatial distribution data of land use types in Chengmai County, Hainan Province in 2016. It is vector data with attribute fields including land code, land type and others. The land types are divided into secondary categories as follows: paddy field, dry land, closed forest land, shrub land, sparse forest land, other forest land, high-coverage grassland, medium-coverage grassland, low-coverage grassland, rivers and canals, lakes, reservoirs and ponds, permanent glacier and snow land, tidal flat, beach land, urban land, rural settlements, other construction land, sand land, gobi, saline-alkali land, swamp land, bare land, bare rock and gravel land, and others. Among them, cultivated land is classified into paddy fields and dry lands in mountainous areas, hilly areas, plains, and slopes with a gradient greater than 25 degrees according to landform. The data scale is 1:100,000.
