This document is a transcript of a semi-structured interview conducted over Microsoft Teams on 18 July 2025. This document was produced for an original thesis as part of the FPM005 Dissertation module undertaken at the Centre for Food Policy, City St Georges, University of London (Link to thesis: https://figshare.com/articles/thesis/Salt-reduction_food_policies_and_data_use_in_the_accountability_cycle_a_comparison_between_England_and_Singapore_Full_thesis_/30750839?file=60370688). It has been reviewed and edited by both the researcher and the interviewee. The interview questions were about the use of data for accountability, in the context of dietary salt reduction programme in England.Specifically,1. “who is your organisation accountable to for the salt reduction programme”,2. “what impacts they have on your organisation/department”,3. “what you think of your organisation level of accountability”,4. “what are the internal and external factors that you think could have influenced the way that you collect and present data”,5. “what do you think are the possible motivations or rationales behind how they hold you to account”.Although the target was to obtain representatives from the government, civil society and food industries, only the first two were recruited. This participant has consented for their pseudonymised transcript to be reused for future research. Please exercise precision by prevailing the context when using this evidence.
