Dataset - Factors Influencing the Acceptance of Auto-Tune as a Digital Aesthetics in P-Pop Among Filipino Young Adults

This study investigates the aesthetic and cultural determinants of Auto-Tune acceptance in P-Pop using Partial Least Squares Structural Equation Modeling (PLS-SEM). Integrating the Technology Acceptance Model (TAM) and Cultural-Aesthetic Theory, the analysis of 365 respondents revealed that authenticity and cultural identity significantly predict aesthetic appeal, perceived usefulness, and enjoyment. Critically, the direct paths to acceptance were non-significant, suggesting acceptance is an indirect outcome. The final model demonstrated strong explanatory power (R2 = .954 for Aesthetic Appeal, R2= .818 for Acceptance), confirming that Auto-Tune acceptance is mediated by affective and cultural engagement rather than social conformity. This research extends TAM to creative contexts, showing how aesthetic authenticity and cultural resonance shape the perception of digital sound and highlighting the integration oftechnology, emotion, and identity in contemporary music.
