NPD

The NPD contains information on over 1000 vertebrate proteins (mainly those from mouse and human) that are thought to, or known to, be localised to the cell nucleus. Where known, the sub-nuclear compartment where the proteins have been found are reported. Also stored is information on the amino acid sequence, predicted protein size and isoelectric point, as well as any repeats, motifs or domains within the protein sequence. Biological and molecular functions of the proteins are described using GO terms. Where appropriate, links to other databases are provided (e.g. Entrez, SWISS-PROT, OMIM, PubMed, PubMed Central).NPD数据库收录了逾1000种脊椎动物蛋白质的相关信息，其中以小鼠和人类来源的蛋白质为主，这些蛋白质被推测或已证实定位于细胞核内。若已知相关信息，则会一并报告该蛋白质所处的核内亚区室。数据库同时存储蛋白质的氨基酸序列、预测的蛋白质分子量与等电点，以及蛋白质序列中存在的重复序列、基序或结构域等信息。蛋白质的生物学功能与分子功能均通过基因本体（Gene Ontology, GO）术语进行标注。在适宜情况下，数据库还会提供指向其他数据库的链接，例如Entrez、SWISS-PROT、OMIM、PubMed以及PubMed Central。
