Parkes observations for project P1019 semester 2019APRS_02

As part of a survey of the Galactic plane MeerKAT has identified a spectacular new bow-shock nebula that\r\nshows marked similarities to the nebula known as the “Mouse”. Like the Mouse it is very likely that at the\r\ntip of this nebula there is a young pulsar moving supersonically. As this region of the plane has been searched\r\nas part of the High Time Resolution Universe low-latitude survey we know that the pulsar must be faint. We\r\npropose here to undertake a very deep search, about an order of magnitude fainter than previous searches\r\nof this region, using a full-track observation with the newly available UWL receiver. This search will either \r\nreveal the faint young pulsar that resides in this nebula or place extremely constraining limits on its flux density beamed towards the Earth.
