An archaeological evaluation was undertaken by Cotswold Archaeology in September 2017 at Abbey Old House, Winchcombe, Gloucestershire. Three test pits were excavated. One test pit contained a north-west/south-east aligned wall, interpreted as part of a medieval building most probably associated with Winchcombe Abbey. The other two test pits contained flagstone flooring associated with the medieval building. These features were covered by demolition layers, attributed to the destruction of the building.
