Survey of GPCR gene expression in apterous-GAL4/+ Drosophila wing discs

In order to identify which of the 116 G protein-coupled receptors are expressed in late third instar wing discs, we carried out RNAseq analysis of apterous-GAL4/+ wing discs, which served as the genetic background for most of our followup studies RNA was isolated from 100-120 dissected wing discs from wandering third instar larvae of the genotype w;apGAL4/+. Triplicate RNA samples were anlyzed by RNAseq.
