Devosia epidermidihirudinis strain:E84 Genome sequencing and assembly. Devosia epidermidihirudinis strain:E84

Here we report the de novo genome assembly of an environmentally related Devosia species: Devosia epidermidihirudinis Strain E84 (Galatis et. al, 2013) that was isolated from the skin of the medical leeches (Hirudo verbana), an ecological niche for a broad range of bacterial species. The leeches themselves were obtained from a leech farm in Biebertal (Germany).
