Streptavidin-Response Curves for Methoxy Magnetic Nanoparticles Suspended in 1x Phosphate Buffered Saline and 50% Fetal Bovine Serum

We prepared methoxy-PEG₄-MNP streptavidin-response curves in 1x PBS and 50% FBS to determine the contribution of non-specific streptavidin binding to the 𝛥𝜙₃ for biotin-PEG₄-MNP streptavidin-response curves. The methoxy-PEG₄-MNP streptavidin-response curve in 1x PBS suggests that non-specific streptavidin binding did not cause statistically significant variations in 𝜙₃ (threshold 99.89%). The methoxy-PEG₄-MNP streptavidin-response curve in 50% FBS suggests that the presence of off-target proteins did not increase non-specific streptavidin binding, evident by the lack of statistically significant variations in 𝜙₃ for methoxy-PEG₄-MNPs suspended in 50% FBS.
