Distinct air temperature reconstruction models were developed for diverse meteorological conditions, and regional calibration equations were established to enhance data accuracy. A daily near-surface air temperature dataset for China covering the period from 1979 to 2018 was generated, which includes daily maximum temperature (Tmax), daily minimum temperature (Tmin), and daily average temperature (Tavg), with a spatial resolution of 0.1°.
