资源简介:
To investigate the potential benefits of cannabidiol using a model of post-menopause induced osteoporosis. Evidence suggests the gut microbiome may contribute to regulating bone health via mechnaisms related to inflammation locally in the intestine and peripherally in bone. During menopause, estrogen production gradually declines, resulting in gut dysbiosis and activation of proinflammatory pathways. Cannabidiol has been shown to decrease intestinal inflammation and improve health outcomes in various diseases models. Augmenting the inflammatory response may improve bone health via regulation of osteoclastogenic and osteoblastogenic pathways in bone.
