Observer Perceptions of Child-Led Learning at InnoVision 2050: A Survey-Based Study from Blue Blocks Montessori School, Hyderabad - DataSet

At the close of every visit to Explore Montessori 2025 — Blue Blocks Montessori School's annual showcase, themed InnoVision 2050 — each observer was handed a single sheet of paper called the Time Traveller Report. They were asked how the event made them feel about the future, what surprised them most, who they thought led the learning, and to describe the school in one word. This dataset is what they said. 198 responses were collected from parents, grandparents, and guests across all four Montessori programme stages (Toddler through Erdkinder). The structured questions used checkbox format; the one-word field was open text. The data are encoded as Y/N per option, with verbatim free-text descriptions preserved. Key findings: 85.4% of observers identified students as the primary leaders of learning. Student confidence was the single most cited source of surprise (68.7%). More than half of all observers reported feeling optimistic (53.0%) or thoughtful (51.5%) about the future after the event. The one-word descriptions — ranging from "Futuristic" and "Trailblazers" to "Beyond our Imagination" and "Creating & nurturing future-centric human beings" — form a qualitative layer of community sentiment data accompanying the structured responses.
