This study aimed to examine the relationship between academic self-efficacy and academic achievement, as well the mediation effect of academic hope. Two hundred and six students from Alzahra Unicersity in Tehran, Iran were recruited in the study. Data analyses with Path Analysis revealed that academic self-efficacy (β = 0.23, p < 0.01) and academic hope (β = 0.64, p < 0.01) were significant predictors of academic achievement. Baron and Kenny analysis showed that academic hope acted as a mediator between academic self-efficacy and academic achievement. These findings underscore the importance of fostering academic hope among students to improve their academic outcomes.
