Total take-up of office space in the Netherlands 2010-2021

The total take-up of office space in the Netherlands increased in 2021, after falling below one million square meters for the first time since 2012. While take-up picked up in 2021, at about 1.2 million square meters, it was still below the 2019 value. As the economy has begun to recover from the impact of the coronavirus (COVID-19) pandemic, more companies have shown their readiness to pay the right price for an office building.
