The data was collected at York University in Lumbers room 118 on September 13, 2016 at 3:00 pm. The hypothesis was that the brown allele is more dominant in females than males. To collect the data, the researchers went to observe the eye colour of 19 individuals with respect to their gender. The results were recorded in chart format. The procedure took approximately 10 minutes to complete. The two variables were eye colour and gender. The following eye colour that we observed was green, brown, blue, hazel. The results were as follows: 14 females had brown eyes, 4 males had brown eyes, and 1 male had blue eyes. It is evident that 74% of our sample were females with brown eyes. Therefore these results support our hypothesis that brown allele is more dominant in females than in males.
