资源简介:
The study of microbial populations within the male reproductive system has become increasingly prominent due to their possible impact on semen quality and in vitro fertilization (IVF) success rates. This innovative research examines the complex link between the microbial landscape of semen and the outcomes of male fertility. Utilizing 16S amplicon sequencing, the study meticulously characterized the microbial profiles of semen samples obtained from IVF clinics. These samples were initially sorted into two primary categories based on semen quality - normal and abnormal. Further detailed analysis included the stratification of these samples into subgroups based on the results of IVF attempts, delineating them as either IVF-positive, reflecting successful pregnancies, or IVF-negative, where the IVF did not result in pregnancy, across both semen quality types.
