This database primarily collects and distributes seismic data for the Southern California region, including earthquake catalogs, seismic information, and historical earthquake records. Funded by the United States Geological Survey (USGS) and the California Office of Emergency Services (CalOES), SCEDC is an important component of the California Integrated Seismic Network (CISN).
