This study investigated the effect of UV-B treatment on DNA methylation in A. thaliana. Overall design: A. thaliana plants were growth on 1/2X MS agar (0.7%) + 1% sucrose throughout treatment. Treatment began on Day 1 after sowing with 1.5 mE of UV-B (315 nm) and 60 mE white light and terminated on Day 10 of treatment when the plants were frozen in liquid nitrogen before mRNA or DNA extraction for sequencing.
