The purpose of flow cytometry analysis was to enumerate CD133+ and CD34+ Very Small Embryonic-Like Stem Cells (VSELs) in human umbilical cord blood (hUCB) and to analyze the coexpression of both markers. Conclusion: 13 samples were analyzed and average number of in-CD45-CD133+ and Lin-CD45-CD34+ VSELs in hUCB was calculated as well as coexpression of CD133 and CD34 markers. Notes: The reposited FCS files contain a representative dot plots used to enumerate Lin-CD45-CD133+ and Lin-CD45-CD34+ VSELs in hUCB. Data were aquired on The BD FACSVerse? instrument. The flow cytometer automatic compensation was performed.
