Here, western blotting, RT-PCR, and immunofluorescence staining were used to investigate the potential effects of PCSK9 on autophagy and atherosclerosis through the establishment of an ApoE-/- mouse model of atherosclerosis and a foam cell model.JY2, a FOXO3a inhibitor, and COS (chitooligosaccharides) were further used to explore the relationship between COS and the PCSK9/FOXO3a autophagy pathway in atherosclerosis[1]. These findings suggest that COS inhibits atherosclerosis progression by modulating the PCSK9/FOXO3a autophagy signaling pathway.
