Theoretical Foundations and Interdisciplinary Convergence of Society 5.0: A Comprehensive Bibliometric Analysis (2017–2024)

This dataset accompanies the article “Theoretical Foundations and Interdisciplinary Convergence of Society 5.0 for Sustainable Development”, which investigates whether Society 5.0 is a genuinely novel paradigm or a synthesis of long-standing scientific traditions. The uploaded file contains a full Scopus export (2017–2024) used for the bibliometric analysis, including metadata for 790 documents retrieved through targeted queries. The dataset supports the empirical results presented in the article and includes: complete bibliographic records from Scopus; author information, affiliations, keywords and references; data used for performance analysis, keyword co-occurrence, temporal evolution, and cited-reference chronology; material processed with VOSviewer and Bibliometrix (R package). The publication demonstrates that Society 5.0 has deep intellectual roots in systems theory, cybernetics, information society research, innovation studies, socio-technical transitions, and sustainability science. The data enable full reproducibility of the study’s results and offer a foundation for future research on human-centred digital transformation and sustainable development.
