Bulk RNA sequencing (RNA-seq) data were generated to characterize transcriptomic responses to zinc stimulation in MFF-1 cells. Cells were assigned to two experimental conditions: a control group (Mock) and a zinc-treated group (Zinc; 200 µM zinc sulfate). Three biological replicates were established for each condition, and samples were collected following 72 hours of treatment. Overall design: A controlled, two-condition in vitro RNA-seq experiment was performed to assess the effect of zinc sulfate on gene expression in MFF-1 cells. The experimental variable was zinc treatment (Zinc) versus control (Mock). Three independent replicates were included for each condition (total n = 6 libraries). Comparative transcriptome analysis between the Zinc and Mock groups was designed to define the gene expression programs associated with zinc stimulation.
