Maternal and Child Health Participation Rates for Key Ages and Stages Consultations

Key Ages and Stages consultations are provided within the Maternal and ChildHealth Universal Service, and include 10 Key Ages and Stages consultations foreach child,  from birth to 3.5 years including an initial home visit andconsultations at 2 weeks, 4 weeks, 8 weeks, 4 months, 8 months, 12 months, 18months, two years and 3.5 years of age for all children and their families.At each consultation, the parent/carer is given an opportunity to discusstheir concerns, talk about parenting experiences and learn how to improve thechild’s health, growth and development.  Key Ages and Stages consultations areone-on-one consultations with the child and their family. Participation rates for Key Ages and Stages consultations are based on thenumber of children who were provided with a Key Age and Stage consultation, asa percentage of the number of children enrolled for the age group.
