Brazil: food retail market sales share 2016-2023, by state

In 2023, the state of São Paulo was ranked first in the food retail industry in Brazil, accounting for approximately 46.7 percent of the Brazilian food retail market, up from to 33 percent a year earlier. Minas Gerais followed, accounting for 11.3 percent.
