KLAF Mode S Data

<p>These data were obtained from the dump1090 software running on a raspberry pi at the Purdue Airport (KLAF) that was configured to log Mode S data in the accompanying .csv file. The file contains 1588 records collected on August 20, 2015, for approximately 7 hours. </p> <p>The antenna was located at approximately:</p> <p>40°24′58.08″N<br /> 86°55′46.10″W</p> <p>The following fields are contained in each row of the file:</p> <ul> <li>tstamp: Date and time recorded to the nearest minute</li> <li>t.hexid: ICAO 24 bit address<br /> m.ident: Aircraft tail number</li> <li>alt: pressure altitude of aircraft</li> <li>t.lat: Latitude of aircraft expressed in decimal degrees</li> <li>t.long: Longitude of aircraft expressed in decimal degrees</li> <li>sig1…sig8: The last 8 reported signal strengths</li> <li>Signal.Avg: The average of sig1..sig8</li> <li>ActDist: Computed distance in miles between ground received and aircraft using aircraft reported position</li> </ul>
