Role of madecassoside on the transcriptome expression profiling of an in vitro melanogenesis model

Madecassoside (MA), a major triterpenoid saponin from Centella asiatica, inhibits the melanin deposition, but the underlying mechanism remains unknown. Mouse melanoma B16F10 cells were treated with alpha-MSH to establish an in vitro melanogenesis model. MA significantly inhibited melanin formation. Next, RNA sequencing was performed to analysis the expression profiling of B16F10 cells were treated with alpha-MSH or further treated with MA.
