This dataset contains data on: abundance (individuals/m^2), standing biomass (g/ind), size-corrected biomass (g^alpha/ind), trophic group (herbivore, omnivore, planktivore, invertivore, piscivore), time-averaged temperature kinetics, community-level species richness (# of species) and sampling area (m^2). This dataset was collected by visual counts of 5609 populations of reef fishes spread across 49 sites around tropical and subtropical seas (see publication for full methods description).
