A considerable number of fungi exist in the soil, being the crucial elements of soil ecology. Microbial interactions preserve the soil microbial ecological equilibrium. The ecological balance of soil microorganisms greatly influences the development, growth, fitness, and diversification of plants. Imbalance of microbial ecology might cause the occurrence of plant diseases. Simultaneously, the state of plants host will also affect the microbial ecology in the soil. As of now, the relationship between plants and soil microorganisms during tea leaf spot is not clearly understood. Hence, our team employed ITS sequencing to analyze the composition and function of fungal communities in the soil of tea planted in different regions when tea leaf spot occurred, in order to further comprehend the pathogenic mechanism of tea leaf spot.
