Cortical and hippocampal gene expression after transcranial focal stimulation in healthy rats

Transcranial Electrical Stimulation has therapeutic effects on different diseases, including epilepsy. Nevertheless, previous evidence also suggest that TFS could modify protein expression in the healthy brain of rats. We aimed to screen genetic expression in the cerebral cortex and the hippocampus of healthy rats to identify potential targets of therapeutic or adverse effects of TFS. We analyzed 9 rat brain samples (3 cortical and 6 hippocampal) using the Affymetrix Clariom D Rat Chip. Raw data was analyzed using Bioconductor. No technical replicated were performed.
