资源简介:
Larvae of the malt fly (Chymomyza costata) are able to survive months in liquid nitrogen at -196°C if appropriately acclimated through diapause entry and cold acclimation. Using comparative transcriptomics, we aimed to identify the molecules (e.g. cryoprotectants) and processes associated with such acquired extreme freeze tolerance, and distinguish between the molecules and processes unique to diapause vs diapause with cold acclimation.
