Fragilaria radians is araphid pennate freshwater diatom. In Lake Baikal it represents one of the species dominating in phytoplankton assemblages. RNA-seq study of F.radians was performed to analyze the repertiore of transcribed sequences and reveal transcription patterns in steady-state culture, in dark-acclimated cells and upon early response to light treatment.
