资源简介:
This dataset contains urban soil health measurements collected through the Living Soils Lab, a participatory citizen science project developed within the IMPETUS Accelerator (Horizon Europe). The dataset focuses on desealed and post-industrial urban soils located in the Seine-Saint-Denis department (Greater Paris, France), an area characterized by environmental pressures and social vulnerabilities.
Soil data were collected during structured, face-to-face participatory soil laboratories involving local residents as citizen scientists. Data collection followed standardized, low-tech protocols adapted for non-expert use and co-designed with community partners and soil scientists. The dataset includes 22 urban soil samples, each associated with multiple variables such as soil pH, soil respiration, basic indicators of biological activity (e.g. presence of mesofauna), soil structure observations, and contextual site descriptors (sampling date, location, land-use history). No personal or sensitive data are included. All data have been anonymised. The dataset is intended to support research, education, and policy discussions on urban soil health, environmental justice, and participatory approaches to soil monitoring. It is released as open data in accordance with Open Science principles and may be reused under the terms of the selected open licence.
