Pig Image Dataset for Computer Vision-Based Weight Estimation

This dataset contains 1204 images of pigs collected for research on computer vision-based weight estimation. The images were acquired during experimental data collection activities conducted at the Universidad Nacional Agraria La Molina (UNALM), Peru, as part of a research study carried out by researchers from Universidad Peruana de Ciencias Aplicadas (UPC).The images were captured from an overhead perspective using a Sony IMX708 camera installed approximately 3.3 m above the animals. The dataset was used for the development and evaluation of computer vision and machine learning methods for pig segmentation, morphological feature extraction, and non-invasive weight estimation.This repository contains the original pig images used in the study. It does not include training/validation/test splits or annotation files.The dataset is intended to support reproducibility and further research in computer vision, precision livestock farming, animal monitoring, and automated weight estimation.
