The aim of this investigation is to collect and categorise the CSCD factors which influence the work of engineering design teams. Factors were collected during a systematic literature review. Data is from papers published 2010 till February 2017. Academic search engines utilised were: ProQuest, Engineering Village, IEEE Xplore, Scopus, EBSCO and ACM Digital Library. Data was categorised by the author of the document based on a collaboration categorisation system first presented in Mattessich, P.W. & Monsey, B.R., 1992. Collaboration: what makes it work. A review of research literature on factors influencing successful collaboration., ERIC. Sub categories were created based on the context of the paper.
