Benthic collection data arising from the British Antarctic Survey cruise JR179 to the southern Bellingshausen and Amundsen Seas. Biological samples were taken by Agassiz trawl and epibenthic sledge (Brandt & Barthel 1995/Brenke 2005 type). Samples range from 500 to 2500m and at 4 locations vertical transects sampling at 500, 1000 and 1500m were taken.
