Dataset for: Reclaiming Field Learning: Evidence of Fragile Paper Workflows and Pedagogical Costs in Ecological Education

This dataset contains anonymized survey responses from N=25 environmental science students regarding their field data collection workflows. The data supports the research article "Reclaiming Field Learning: Evidence of Fragile Paper Workflows, Pedagogical Costs, and the Case for Lightweight Offline Ecological Tools."

The dataset includes responses on:

Primary recording methods (Paper vs. Digital)

Time spent on transcription

Frequency and types of data errors (e.g., species confusion, calculation errors)

Student satisfaction and willingness to adopt new digital tools

Qualitative feedback on current frustrations.
