**Dataset Overview**

BlockDB Canonical Raw Logs delivers every event log emitted by smart contracts across Ethereum and EVM-compatible chains - the foundational event stream that powers DeFi analytics. Each record stores the emitting contract address, primary topic hash (event signature selector), additional indexed topics, and the raw data payload, all RLP-verified against the block receipt root. This dataset is the direct source for all decoded BlockDB datasets covering token transfers, swap events, pool events, and liquidity changes. Accessing this layer in Snowflake removes the need for custom log-indexing infrastructure or archive RPC subscriptions.

**Join Keys**

(BLOCK_NUMBER, TX_INDEX, LOG_INDEX) is the universal event triple used as the provenance anchor across the entire BlockDB dataset stack. All time-series tables in BlockDB reference this triple for lineage.

**Lineage**

Each log record includes a deterministic _TRACING_ID, forming the primary lineage source for all BlockDB decoded datasets (token registries, pool events, swap data, price feeds). This ensures verifiable traceability and proof-of-derivation for every downstream record.
