This dataset is from the French Observatory of Digital Accessibility (RGAA), aimed at monitoring the implementation of web accessibility for public websites. The target audience includes both elected officials and developers. The analysis is based on the RGAA (General Reference for Accessibility Improvement), which provides precise but complex indicators (compliant tests, non-compliant tests, non-applicable tests). The observatory records all RGAA indicators with the goal of scrutinizing all public websites and verifying their compliance. A new indicator, error count, is introduced, defined as the sum of errors from all non-compliant tests. The dataset is based on the Public Sector Domain Names dataset managed by DINUM, containing 100,000 entries, resulting in 36,000 websites responding to HTTP or HTTPS requests (Spring 2026). Currently, only the homepage is measured, with plans to extend to entire sites in the future. Technically, the observatory only covers the automatable parts of RGAA and cannot replace a full audit by specialists. Automated auditing uses the open-source software Asqatasun, covering 45% of RGAA (117 out of 257 tests), with Asqatasun v6.0.0-rc.6 and RGAA 4.1.2 used as of May 2026.
