Recurrent respiratory tract infections (RRTIs) exhibit a high prevalence and frequent occurrence within the pediatric demographics.The quality of the children is severely affected by its recurrent,susceptible and prolonged nature.In pediatrics of traditional Chinese medicine,the lung and spleen deficiency syndrome was one of the most dominant types among RRTIs children.The diarrhoea is one of the most commonly obvious gastrointestinal symptoms in RRTIs children core symptoms.In order to augment comprehension of the gut microbiota composition among children with RRTIs of type of deficiency of the lung and spleen deficiency syndrome,as well as the correlation between gut microbiota and fecal metabolites,we employed 16S rRNA sequencing to assess the gut microbial population in 171children's feces from 0 to 14 years of age.The 83 RRTIs chlidren as participants from department of traditional Chinese medicine of Foshan Fosun Chancheng Hospital,the 88 health children as participants from Physical Examination Center of Foshan Fosun Chancheng Hospital.
