This transcriptome dataset was generated to investigate the molecular responses of Medicago truncatula (A17 genotype) following the penetration of root cortex by the root oomycete Aphanomyces euteiches (strain RB84). In vitro Inoculated root tissues were harvested at 3 days post-inoculation (dpi) and compared to mock-treated controls. The experiment was conducted in parallel with similar experiments and analyses in inoculated Aeschynomene evenia roots with the same strain to enable cross-species comparisons of quantitative resistance responses. Differential gene expression and enriched functional categories revealed key immune signaling components and potential crosstalk with symbiosis-associated pathways.
