资源简介:
This document presents a bilingual concordance of the Slovenian term dijak ʻsecondary shool studentʼ and its Italian equivalents, as found in legally binding bilingual texts (Slovenian–Italian) published in the Official Gazette of the Republic of Slovenia. The concordance includes context-rich examples that illustrate how dijak and its translations are used in official discourse, highlighting semantic nuances, translation choices, and potential terminological inconsistencies. The corpus used for this study consists of eighty-four bilingual publications from Slovenian Istria, issued online between 2004 and 2024. The texts primarily concern preschool and primary education, with two documents addressing scholarships. The Slovenian originals contain 84,176 words, while the Italian translations amount to 109,523 words. To compile and analyse the data, we used Sketch Engine, a corpus analysis tool designed for querying, processing, and aligning multilingual texts.
